Do I need to change the APN?

Last updated on Oct 10, 2026

Most phones configure the APN automatically

An APN tells the phone how to connect to mobile data. If you have a signal but no internet, check whether your private eSIM instructions provide a specific APN.

Use the value for your purchased eSIM. Do not copy an APN from another destination, an unrelated online guide or a different plan.

  • On iPhone, look under the travel line’s Cellular / Mobile Service settings for Cellular Data Network, if available.
  • On Android, look under the travel SIM’s mobile network settings for Access Point Names.

Enter only the fields your instructions require, save the change and try reconnecting. Leave usernames and passwords empty unless explicitly supplied.

If the setting is unavailable or the instructions show no APN, ask support. Do not reset all network settings or delete the eSIM as a first troubleshooting step.
