How can I make my data last longer?

Last updated on Oct 10, 2026

Make a few changes before travelling

  • Download offline maps, playlists and videos over Wi-Fi.
  • Turn off automatic app updates and cloud photo backups on mobile data.
  • Lower video streaming quality and disable autoplay where possible.
  • Use your phone’s Low Data Mode or Data Saver if available.
  • Check which apps are using the most mobile data.
  • Limit hotspot use and disable large updates on connected laptops.

Use trusted Wi-Fi for large downloads. Keep important security updates enabled, and do not enter sensitive information on an untrusted network without appropriate protection.

These settings reduce consumption; they do not change a plan’s allowance or extend its expiry. Check your remaining data and validity on the eSIM management page, allowing for the network’s usage update delay.
