Add the travel eSIM
Check your exact iPhone model, region and carrier lock status first. Menu names can vary with the iOS version.
- Open the private eSIM page after delivery and read the activation rule.
- Use the supported install button, or open Settings → Cellular / Mobile Service → Add eSIM → Use QR Code.
- Scan your QR code from another screen. For manual setup, choose the option to enter details and copy the exact SM-DP+ address and activation code.
- Label the new line Travel. Keep your preferred line for calls and messages.
- At your destination, select Travel for mobile data, turn on roaming for that line and turn off automatic cellular data switching.
If the phone cannot add an eSIM, do not delete your existing lines. Check compatibility or contact support with the exact error.
